We suggest six mountain circuits; three are part of Buff's "Entre Refugios (Between Huts)" project and explore the area around the Posets and Maladeta peaks in the easternmost part of the Aragonese Pyrenees, and the other three are part of the Entrepyr framework and explore the area around the Balaitús, La Gran Facha and El Vignemale peaks (between France and Spain).

The GR 11 is a mountain route that requires minimal experience in this type of terrain and suitable material according to the time of the year. From Zuriza (border with Navarra) to the village of Aneto or the La Baserca reservoir (border with Catalunya), this trail follows a linear path that adds 240 km that is completed in 14 stages. To the main route we must add several variants, links with other GR and with the border of the neighboring country.

The GR 11 is a mountain route that requires minimal experience in this type of terrain and suitable material according to the time of the year.

The granite and ice Aneto massif not only home to the highest peak in the Pyrenees, but also to the biggest glacier in the entire Pyrenean range, which itself is replete with three-thousanders and mountain tarns, making it a true Mecca for mountaineers. The circuit traverses all its slopes and will help you discover Aneto’s best kept secrets and you'll sleep in mountain huts, such as the 100-year-old La Renclusa mountain hut and the recently inaugurated Cap de Llauset mountain hut. Moreover, the Ballibierna and the Aneto peaks are two of the climbs that can be combined with the circuit.

Enormous glaciers, spectacular waterfalls, hidden tarns, mythical mountain huts and disappearing rivers... Without a doubt this route has become the great circular trekking route of the Pyrenees.

Posets peak, reaching 3,375 m. is the second highest peak in the Pyrenees and is the central point around which the circuit runs. Its stunning geomorphological formations with sharp edges, glaciers and spectacular mountain tarns make for an unparalleled setting in which to enjoy the most magnificent views of the mountain range. The Viadós, Ángel Orús and Estós mountain huts provide shelter for each of the routes. Moreover, the circuit is rounded off by climbing the peaks of Bachimala, Perdiguero or Posets itself.

La Gran Facha is a perfect pyramid which rises almost 3,000 metres above sea level between lake Marcadau and the Respomuso-Bachimaña area. Its three edges are surrounded by other glacial cirques and many lakes. This circuit encircles the beautiful giant pyramid.

Balaitous peak is the westernmost three-thousander peak in the Pyrenees. It is an imposing granite massif that combines striking vertical cliffs, sharp ridges, glaciers and tarns of glacial origin. This giant is joined by other peaks of great height and beauty, such as the Palas, Cambales, Arriel and Lurien peaks.
